All the herds from which we provide are strictly selected, these are only farmers who operate according to ancient artisan traditions Tuscan, for this reason the quantity of this products is limited, the main reason for not selling the parcel of IGP or 5R, we only allows you to book this meat, this is because within two days after the slaughter the meat must be matured in cold storage to maintain the flavour, so when you book the package of Chianina IGP or 5R in fact the animal is still alive in the barn.

 

The reservation is required because the number of livestock is kept strictly stable to maintain its excellence from the standpoint of quality, so as not to risk upsetting the timing of the slaughter procedure and preparation of the meat.

 

The meat Chianina IGP or the 5R and most of the pork meat comes from the farm Romani in Palazzo del Pero (AR), the slopes of the Tuscan hills, it’s the place where GRANDIGUSTI is born just after having verified the professionalism and traditions of this farm, operating since the early '800.

 

The excellence of the farm and processing results are obtained through a long historical tradition that was handed down for generations.

 

An estate of over 200 acres of pasture and woods where the activity is organized from cattle and pigs, poultry, forestry and firewood. Traditional methods are applied with the same characteristics than once in the hand-crafted and maintenance of animals bred (ideal environment and nutrition).

 

All this allows to obtain a very high quality production.
The butcher, meets the most stringent European health and safety regulations, thus ensuring the production of meat and sausages in a hygienically controlled environment, with advanced production facilities.

 

All the cattle belong to the race bred Chianina certified, they have been awarded the IGP, Protected Geographical Indication. The breeding cycle is closed, so every cow born in and remain there until slaughter.

 

Being certified IGP is the bull that mares are entered in the herd book and therefore are pure Chianine of 100% IGP.

 

The pigs are purchased small, grown and then greased with food as per our tradition, very genuine and natural, always of our own production and absolutely no GMOs.

 

The company is certified for over 50 years as farmers IGP and 5R.
